The County of Scotts Bluff and City of Scottsbluff (yes, they're spelled differently) derive their names from a nearby geographic formation. We are located in the extreme Western portion of Nebraska, known as the "Panhandle". Denver is about 200 miles southwest, and the Black Hills are about 200 miles north.
