CWF
PURPOSE
"To provide opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education,
and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal
responsibility for the whole mission of the Church of Jesus Christ."
CWF
has a General Meeting that meets once a month, see calendar. CWF currently
has 4 circles that meet at different places and times to accommodate
the different needs of our church women.
CWF is involved in Study/Worship,
Service/Action, Health Ministry, Bereavement Meals, and Wedding/Receptions.
CWF ministries include Dove's, Bereavement Dinners, Weddings, Receptions,
Soup Kitchen, and visiting Shut ins. We provide access to state and national
retreats, resource material, and programs.
Currently we have 4 circles who meet at varied times to accommodate as many women as possible, more groups can be added at any time.

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
Deuteronomy 31:8
So many times the Bible and especially the Lord, often in the Person of Jesus tell us not to be afraid. The reasons we can trust his instruction to Be Not Afraid can be found in God’s promises to us.
In this year's book, God’s Promises to a Woman’s Heart, you will read of promises sent directly from God’s heart to your heart. They are very good. Best of all, they are completely true!
Several of these promises will be featured during
our monthly meetings, but the others have been left for you to read on
your own. These promises from God, through Jesus Christ our Savior,
have the power to revolutionize your life! After reading through
these 25 promises, take time to ponder. What do you want to say
to our Lord. What changes do you want Him to work? Then incorporate
your thoughts into a prayer – one that may begin an ongoing conversation
with our Lord.

When: First Tuesday of every month at 9:00 a.m.
Where: First Christian Church
Circle 1 is made up of women of the church who like to meet in the morning.
We meet primarily for study and worship, but fellowship and sharing is an important
link in holding us together as an effective arm of the CWF. We support the CWF
by our participation in study and offerings for Basic Mission Finance.

When: First Tuesday of every month
(except July and Aug.) at 1:30 p.m.
Where: Members homes or at First Christian Church
Two offerings are taken at each meeting. One is sent to the General CWF to support
Basic Mission Finance and other service programs. The tea money is used to help
purchase the New Day magazine and used to remember our shut-ins.

When: Second Monday of every month
at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Members homes or at First
Christian Church
The study at each meeting is led by Cindy Bowker.
An offering is taken
at each meeting to support the local CWF and special offerings are taken
to be used in a variety of ways as decided upon by the group for favorite
projects. Other functions supported by the two circles are the blankets
for Church World Service, funeral dinners, and the CWF pledge.

We have done many different themes for this, but it is always interesting whether it is a visit to Africa, a Spa Day, or an English Tea. As always, the food is delicious, the company is good, and the fellowship is healing.
